Lighting can make a huge difference to the look of an outside space. Bistro lights in the oak tree, illuminated containers and landscape lights help create a romantic and fun atmosphere. The pergola was designed to have decorative privacy screens in between the posts and is lit with decorative sconces.
Pool Area with Swing Bed, Pergola and Lighting
The swing-bed pergola defines a space for homeowners to sit back and enjoy their backyard. Palm trees were added to add more of a resort-vibe to nights by the pool. Touches of home can be seen in the columns, which mimic the front porch, and dainty white picket fences on either side.
Resort-style Backyard and Pool
The swing bed underneath the pergola provides views of the resort-style backyard. Annual planters offer seasonal color nearby. Lighting around the yard ties the space together to create an at-home resort getaway.
Coastal Outdoor Dining Area
This outdoor dining area showcases a coastal aesthetic that’s open and inviting. The adjacent outdoor kitchen was built from four inches of masonry block on a poured concrete slab to keep appliances tucked away.
Outdoor Entertaining Space with a Pool
A raised deck next to a house can be used to extend the indoor and outdoor space in a home. This backyard space kept the deck one level to create one large space, from the sliding doors to the open-air porch and into the backyard. To make your home feel more like a resort, make sure the pool can been seen from the moment you walk through the front.
Coastal Pool Deck
The design of the pool deck mimics the front porch, which ties the spaces together. Synthetic turf between the lounging space and the pool allows the surface water to drain and creates maximum flexibility in the use of the tight space for entertaining. The flooring is made of a tropical hardwood.
